On behalf of the pupils, staff and Governing Body here at St. David’s Church of England Primary School, I would like to welcome you warmly to our school website. We are a thriving and welcoming school in Moreton-in-Marsh, Gloucestershire providing a high quality education in a happy and safe environment.

As a growing one and a half form entry school, with twelve classes, currently totalling 285 children. We have created a family atmosphere, which is upheld by a dedicated staff team who put the interests of the individual child at the centre of everything they do.   At St. David’s School we instil strong moral values in our children, helping them develop confidence and independence as well as becoming kind and respectful individuals. We believe in providing our children with varied opportunities to use and develop the gifts and talents they have been blessed with, to ensure they embrace “Life in its fullness” (John 10:10).

We believe it is very important to provide a learning environment where all children can thrive, and where children are inspired to do their best. Our school vision and values set out how we aim to achieve this. Each year we review our priorities for the school and develop a school ‘school improvement plan’ which sets out specific objectives, centred around our Mission ‘Enquiring minds, caring hearts, creative hands’.

If you would like to find out more, I invite you to come and see why St. David’s Primary School is such a special place to be. For further information, please contact the School Office on 01608 650521.

With every best wish,

Mrs Jenny Walker

Art Open Afternoon today - Monday 14th July at 2:30pm

Dear Parents and Carers,

Reminder

We are excited to welcome you to our Art Open Afternoon today; Monday 14th July at 2:30pm, where you can celebrate the wonderful creativity of our students as walk you through our school’s displays.

Please can you collect your child from the bottom hall, then follow the route through the top hall, all the way through school, and exit via the doors past the year 3/4 classes and back out onto the playground.

Before exploring, feel free to visit the hall, where we’ll have cake, coffee, tea, and ice lollies on sale for you to enjoy. It’s a lovely chance to connect with others in our school community and check out our whole school portrait exhibition.

There will be donation buckets throughout school so please bring along any spare change you might have in your car or hiding in your sofa. If you prefer, a card machine will also be available in the top hall for card donations.

All donations, big or small, are hugely appreciated. Every penny will go towards enhancing our art and DT (Design & Technology) provision next year.

As you can imagine, the cost of high-quality materials like clay, pastels and wooden cogs etc. adds up quickly – and we want to continue providing our children with the best possible creative opportunities.

Thank you in advance for your support. We hope you have a lovely time and enjoy seeing the fantastic work your children have created!
