Daily Collective Worship at Our School

At our school, collective worship is a special part of each day where we come together as a community. It’s a time filled with fun, reflection, and thoughtfulness, creating an opportunity for everyone to pause and connect.

Our daily worship takes many different forms, making each session unique and engaging. Sometimes, we sing lively songs that fill the hall with joy and energy. Other times, we might listen to a quiet story that helps us reflect on important values and lessons. We also set aside moments for prayer, offering a chance for everyone to think about what’s important to them and to find peace in the busyness of the day.

One of the highlights of our week is when the “Open the Book” team visits. This dedicated group of volunteers from St David’s Church come in every week to share a Bible story with us. But these aren’t just any stories—they bring the tales to life with costumes, props, and enthusiastic performances. The children absolutely love these sessions, as they make the stories engaging and memorable. Whether it’s a tale of courage, kindness, or forgiveness, the “Open the Book” team helps us see the relevance of these ancient stories in our everyday lives.

Collective worship is not just a routine; it’s a cherished tradition at our school. It’s a time for us all to gather, share, and grow together. Through these varied and meaningful sessions, children learn about empathy, respect, and community.

Our daily collective worship is a cornerstone of school life. It’s a joyful and reflective time that all children look forward to, and it plays a crucial role in nurturing their spiritual and moral development.
